Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and for him in the following year. He worked together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and next year, came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared in a duo with TINI to perform her streaming single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo came from a musical household both his parents are musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. While a youngster, was playing the ukulele and piano.
